Arts council presents painting exhibition at The Bridge

Posted 17th January 2007, mid-afternoon

The Mason Area Arts Council, in collaboration with Mason Parks and Recreation, presents the Art Gallery at The Bridge, located in the Mason Community Center, 6050 Mason-Montgomery Rd.

The Arts Council will present six exhibitions throughout the year, each running two months. Local and regional artist’s work will be on display. Many different mediums will be displayed, including oil, watercolor, pastel and mixed media. Approximately 15 to 30 paintings will be featured during each exhibition.

THE BRIDGE is an affiliate of the City of the Mason Parks & Recreation Department, Mason Community Center, and Ohio Parks & Recreation Association. The BRIDGE is designed to accommodate adults 55 years of age and older. Located within the Mason Community Center, The BRIDGE offers various classes, activities and opportunities for members.

"The opportunity to host local artist exhibits at the BRIDGE not only provides a new environment for our members on a rotating basis, but provides the opportunity for our members to view art that might not otherwise be easily assessable. We hope this is a long-term partnership with the Mason Area Arts Council. We are delighted to have their participation." said Joanne Westwood, The BRIDGE Supervisor

The 2007 schedule of exhibiting artist is as follows:
January / February ~ Jennifer Wilhelm – watercolor
March / April ~ Patty Clark – oil
May / June ~ Tracey Johnson and Millie Nulls ~ pastel and oil
July / August ~ Mason Area Painters
September / October ~ various Mason Arts Festival painters
November / December ~ Shelley Sizemore – Oil and Watercolor
